Choose receipt or GST voucher mode

Use general receipt mode for an ordinary payment acknowledgement and GST advance receipt-voucher mode only when the prescribed GST particulars are relevant. Enter payer, recipient, amount, date, payment method, reference, purpose, and linked invoice or document.

Trace the payment received

Match the amount received with the bank, cash, UPI, cheque, or card evidence. In GST voucher mode, review supplier and recipient details, place of supply, taxable basis, and tax breakup without presenting the receipt as a tax invoice.

Report advances separately where required

A printable receipt does not itself post books, adjust an invoice, report an advance in a GST return, or issue a refund voucher. Keep the receipt reference connected to the underlying invoice, order, or advance record.
